Urban Artists Collective is proud to present its debut gallery show on First Friday, at Willo North Gallery. The works of featured artists from the collective will be displayed alongside pieces created at uac hosted events. Come enjoy food and drink while experiencing the art of uac, the innovative new addition to the downtown Phoenix arts community.
Willo North Gallery is located at 2811 N. 7th Avenue in Phoenix.

In an effort to expand their creative horizons, uac members dyed for their art on Saturday, May 22nd. Seasoned silk painters led the group of artists through some of the techniques used in this vivid, unpredictable art form. The results were as unique as the participants. And while we just scratched the surface of this textile art form, at the end of the day we had a gutta ball.

In the gutta is urban street talk, however, in the art of silk painting it is the resist technique used to separate color. uac explores this unusual medium under the guidance of Willo North Gallery owner Kristin Shears. All materials, including the silk and pigments, are provided for this project. So get in the gutta and prepare to dye.
Fee: $20 (covers two collective gatherings)
